Sports host Jemele Hill demonstrates how ESPN has collapsed into a cesspool of idiocy, bigotry and unfathomable stupidity in the name of “social justice”

A sports journalist who co-hosts ESPN’s SportsCenter show has been suspended from her job for two weeks after calling on NFL fans to boycott the league’s advertisers following recent statements made by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Jemele Hill evidently thought it was smart to target the league after Jones indicated that his players would all have to stand for the National Anthem, apparently not realizing that by doing so, these same fans would also inadvertently end up boycotting ESPN’s advertisers as well.

The controversy first erupted after multiple incidents in which NFL players decided to kneel, sit, or even stretch during the Anthem in protest of society’s “oppression” against blacks and other perceived injustices. The NFL has taken a huge hit ever since, with fans burning their season tickets, not showing up to games, and cancelling their cable packages.

In an attempt to try to save the NFL from completely imploding, some like Jones have made statements indicating that things are soon to change.

“I know this, we cannot … in the NFL in any way give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag,” Jones said recently following the Cowboys’ 35-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues, but there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. So we’re clear.”

Such words are hardly corrective of the problem of NFL players disrespecting the flag, as they suggest that Jones will simply force his players to go through the motions of respecting the flag so as to not be perceived as disrespecting. No actual respect will be taking place, in other words, and yet even this was too much for Hill, who posted this to Twitter in response:

“The play always work [sic]. Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ’s statement, boycott his advertisers,” followed by a link to some of the NFL’s main advertisers: AT&T, Bank of America, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Ford Motor Company, MillerCoors, and PepsiCo.

Jemele Hill’s stupidity typifies the idiocy of the modern-day left

In addition to her two-week suspension, Hill was met with a torrent of backlash on Twitter from all sorts of people who correctly pointed out her stupidity in making such a ridiculous statement. How she is somehow unaware of the fact that ESPN is essentially married to the NFL, and that both entities rely on each other for survival, is mind-boggling.

One user commented:

“She’s not the smartest TOOL in the shed.”

Another jabbed:

“Your lack of self awareness is nearly comical if it wasn’t so sad.”

And yet another asked Hill directly:

“So none of those companies sponsor your show or any of your employer’s shows?”

They, of course, do. And this is precisely why ESPN had to deal sharply and swiftly with Hill, who clearly fails to fully comprehend that the companies she told her followers to boycott are the very same ones who fund her paychecks.

But then again, this is the very same woman who back in September declared on Twitter that President Donald Trump is “a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.” Once again, Hill clearly lacks the cognition to understand that a large percentage of the people who watch ESPN and the NFL are “white” people who support Donald Trump.

Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you, eh Jemele Hill?
